Intermediate or higher skill level required. Avalanche terrain – safety gear required including beacon, probe and shovel for each person. Depart 10AM from Upper Trail Lake parking lot just before Moose Pass indicated on map. Travel across Upper Trail lake is required and a go/no go decision will be made the week before based on weather conditions and thickness of lake ice. Alternate ride could be Lake Nellie Juan starting another 15 miles down the road.
