The ever-popular family ride to Shulin Lake is one of the most beautiful virgin-forest rides of the season.
“…Over-the-river-and-through-the-woods to Shulin Lake we go… ! ”
We’ll meet at 10:00am in the Trapper Creek Inn parking lot at MP 114.5 on the Parks Highway (4-way flashing light on Parks Highway at Petersville Road, TCI on your right) and be ready to ride at 10:30am. Head south on lower CBT trail to Amber Lake Trail and then Oilwell Road with final destination as Shulin Lake. Family-fun skill level ride over level terrain with a few small hills and a few creek (frozen) crossings. The skill level of this ride could change dependent on spring temperatures and breakup progress so be sure to check the hotline 907-689-7777 before departing for any ride for advice and/or changes to the ride. Probably 60-70 miles total back to the cars by 5-530pm. Need full gas and oil, beverage, sack-lunch and camera. Bring extra socks and gloves as spring riding can be wet !
Some of the most beautiful virgin-forest riding in the Petersville area on this one. The snow is deep and hangin’ in there, so far few problems on the trails but if you RSVP with your contact information, any important updates on conditions can be yours.
