SNOW!!  Lots of it!!

Fantastic riding in South Denali and Petersville this month and it’s supposed to snow off and on the rest of this week.  Let’s take advantage…day ride to Collingsville Trail/Black Creek Canyon on Saturday, March 27, 2021.   Mostly high-meadow open areas with endless possibilities for deep-snow riding.  Long-tracks and familiarity with “riding the deep” is advisable.  Intermediate skill level, nothing overly technical–just distance and powder riding. Estimated total miles for the day 50-70, most likely back to the parking around 430-5.

Meet at MP121.5 parking lot on Glenn Highway and be ready to ride at 10:30am.  Sack lunches although we may make a stop at Forks Roadhouse if it’s not too packed.  Bring water for you to drink and extra gas for your sled to drink—churning through the stuff really gobbles gas!

Although not required on this ride, it is advisable to text 907-242-0808 to be included on any weather updates at the last minute.

Be advised, we may at some point during the day be riding on state land where sled registration is required.  If you haven’t the money goes to the grooming pool every winter and go here to register: http://doa.alaska.gov/dmv/reg/snow.htm
