The ever-popular get-acquainted with snowmobiling class!!!  Come out and figure out what all the fun is about and what you’re missing.

Introduction ride for people that are new to snowmobiling or want to brush up on their beginner skills. Easy trail riding around the Willow area, up to 50 miles max or so depending on the group.  Lots of stops to explain, discuss and share ideas with other riders and help understand what works and what doesn’t with the controls of a snowmachine.

Also, if there is sufficient interest and time, we could have an “in-town” session to just talk about loading, gear, riding, etc. to make getting there easier.

RSVP is appreciated–write leader Tim Cook at   lia@ak.net

THIS EVENT DATE IS DEPENDENT ON ACCEPTABLE SNOW CONDITIONS, remember to always check the ASC Hotline 907-689-7777 for any changes or updates to any club ride just before heading out.     ALL ASC RIDES REQUIRE THAT YOUR SLED IS REGISTERED WITH THE STATE OF ALASKA because most of our club rides are on public lands.  It’s $10 for two years and if you’re not registered yet, go to:  http://doa.alaska.gov/dmv/reg/snow.htm

DIRECTIONS: Turn off the Parks Highway at MP 67.3 for  Nancy Lakes Parkway, take the next right at about a mile onto Long Lake Road, at about a mile and half, make the left turn onto Crystal Lake Road.  It will wind around to a large, obvious parking lot on the right with a sign at the trailhead at the back of the lot  (there is no parking fee here).
